Amazon Shipping Developer Documentation Migration Announcement

Starting October 6, 2025, Amazon Shipping Developer Documentation will be available at a new URL https://developer-docs.shipping.amazon.com.

What is changing?

The Amazon Shipping Developer Documentation will be migrating from its current location https://developer-docs.amazon.com/amazon-shipping to a new dedicated site at https://developer-docs.shipping.amazon.com.

This migration is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the developer experience and provide more robust documentation resources. The migration includes:

  • A new URL for accessing all Amazon Shipping developer documentation
  • Better API reference documentation and examples
  • Expanded content specifically tailored to Amazon Shipping integrations

To ensure a seamless transition, automatic redirects will be in place from the current URL to the new URL. All existing bookmarks and links will continue to work without interruption for at least 09 months following the migration.

Which marketplaces are affected?

This change applies to all marketplaces where Amazon Shipping APIs are available.

Who should be aware of this change?

All developers and integration partners who use the Amazon Shipping Developer Documentation are affected by this change. This includes:

  • Existing integration partners using Amazon Shipping APIs
  • Solution architects and developers building new integrations
  • Technical support teams referencing API documentation

What action is required?

No immediate action is required. The redirect system will ensure all existing links continue to work.

However, we recommend:

  • Updating your bookmarks to the new URL (DEVELOPER-DOCS.SHIPPING.AMAZON.COM) after October 6, 2025
  • If your organization maintains internal documentation that links to Amazon Shipping Developer Documentation, consider updating these references to the new URL at your convenience
  • If you have implemented any automation that scrapes or references the documentation URLs, please update these references by July 6, 2026, when the redirects may be discontinued
